Hey everyone!
Today, I am entering a competition very similar to the New Look one I entered a few weeks ago :). The aim is the same - create five looks for five different categories, but this time there is a budget of £200 per outfit.
The five categories are: party, casual, outdoor, first date and office wear.
If you would like any more information about the competition then follow this link :)
Look #1. PARTY.
Bag £7.99
Ring £6.00
Dress £37.99 £32.99
Bracelet £8.00
Shoes £60.00
Total = £114.98
I think this would be a perfect look for summer. The dress is simple, but has gorgeous detailing around the waist so it avoids looking boring or frumpy, and is a bargain in the sale at the minute. The wedges are again simple so that they don't take too much attention away from the dress, while the jewellery is bang on trend with the cross detailing, and the gold colour really stands out against the black. The clutch bag just adds that little something to the mainly plain dress, and is the perfect size to stash away your purse and lipstick.
Look #2. CASUAL.
Blazer £29.99 £12.00
Bag £14.99
Jeans £42.00 £25.00
Peplum Top £30.00
Shoes £28.00
Necklace £18.50
Total = £128.49
Jeans are an essential when putting together a casual outfit, and these high-waisted ones are a flattering style, and even better, an absolute bargain. The peplum top keeps the outfit on trend, and I have added the necklace as a statement piece, as the top is quite plain. The studded shoes and bag fit nicely together, and again the studs keep the outfit on trend. A blazer can be dressed up or down, and is a staple in anyone's autum/winter wardrobe.
Look #3. OUTDOOR.
Boots £27.99
Leggings £18.00
Vest Top £20.00
Snood £13.00
Jacket £34.99
Total = £113.98
The leggings cover two trends in one - aztec print and ombre. The ankle boots are perfect for walking in, without compromising on style, and the snood is essential for keeping you warm and cosy on frosty mornings. The vest top is a wardrobe essential, and is perfect for use with the leggings as it is plain - meaning the attention is all on the leggings. The jacket is a designer style at a fraction of the price, and will keep you warm during the cold autumn/winter.
Look #4. FIRST DATE.
Necklace £10.00
Ring £4.00
Dress £55.00
Bag £25.00
Shoes £24.99
Total = £118.99
I think this dress is gorgeous, and perfect for a first date. It's pretty, without looking like you've tried 'too hard'. The heart back detail is delicate and girly. The court shoes are a must-have in any wardrobe, as they are so versatile and go with anything - meaning they are great value for money as you're sure to get a lot of wear out of them. The jewellery is simple and girly and matches the dress perfectly. The clutch bag is really the statement piece of this outfit with the leopard print pattern. It adds an edge of fun to what is otherwise an extremely sophisticated outfit.
Look #5. OFFICE WEAR.
Skirt £28.00
Shoes £44.99
Bag £30.00
Tights £5.99
Blouse £20.00
Total = £128.98
The blouse tucked into the skirt is a traditional office look, but as the skirt is patterned instead of just plain black, it adds a modern twist to it. I have kept the rest of the office outfir very traditional, with sensible t-bar midi heels, and plain black tights. The patent black satchel looks very professional, yet the gold adds a contemporary twist to it. You could match the skirt with different coloured blouses, making it quite versatile.
So, there you have it. My five outfits for five different categories. I had a lot of fun putting these together! Let me know if you have had/are going to have a go at this because I'd love to see some of your creations!
xx
